Display Your Terms and Conditions in WordPress

Some pages within your WordPress website may need to have a special message for people registering or signing up for a service or feature. Your Terms and Conditions in WordPress is more than likely what you’ll need to display, but you can have any message you want for your organization.

Why not display the TandC below the registration form?

Add the TandC into a variable. This makes it easier to reference and display. The \ symbol is there as an escape character so WordPress knows to continue on the next line.

var TandC = '<p><strong>By registering with Website.com, you automatically agree to the following Terms and Conditions.</strong></p>\
 <ul>\
 <li>Non-profits will supply us with their logo to put on the site and put a link on their site with our logo so they will be able to click on it to reach our site and register.\
 <li>All ticket purchases and member registration must be done on our site.\
 <li>All non- profits must have a 501(3)c active for 2 years and comply with the federal raffle laws in their state, some states may require them to purchase a permit . In many areas there may be more than one governmental body that has jurisdiction over a fundraising raffle. It is always good to check your state/province/territory and your local government for any necessary licenses and permits. This application and resulting permit may take up to 60 days to process and receive. We will not attempt to hold a fundraising raffle without having the necessary paperwork in hand.</li>\
 <li>States that are prohibited from doing raffles are: South Carolina, Alabama, Kansas ( legal with some restrictions), Hawaii, and Utah</li>\
 <li>We will give them a weekly printout of ticket sales and money raised.</li>\

 <p><strong>Things the nonprofits cannot do</strong></p>\
 <ul>\
 <li>The nonprofit cannot raise money for profit </li>\
 <li>Cannot raise money for a for profit business</li>\

Grab the current page URL

var pathname = window.location.pathname; // Returns path only

Determine if the current page is where you want the TandC to display, then display. Change the pathname == “xxxxxx part to your specific page where needed.

if((pathname == "/non-profit/") || (pathname == "/register-your-non-profit/"))
 {
 $("#page-content").append(TandC);
 }

And thats about it for your own Terms and Conditions in WordPress. Pop this full script into the footer of your WordPress theme (Apperance > Editor) and each page will be evaluated to see if it needs any Terms and Conditions in WordPress.
